Manager’s Report
- Work on the 2025 audit has commenced, with an anticipated completion in late summer
- Howell Engineering has begun work on the engineering plans for the pedestrian bridge between the Township and the Borough. A public input meeting will be held at the Township Building on June 26, 2025 at 7:00PM. The purpose of the meeting will be to gather public input on the design of the project (read “#NewtownPA Creek Bridge Engineering Contract Awarded”)

As reported in the NewtownPA Now (LINK: https://sco.lt/64lg4u), "The Newtown Bucks County Joint Municipal Authority Board of Directors voted Tuesday, 11 March 2025, to halt work on a proposed wastewater treatment plant in Newtown Township.
The 3-2 decision does not cancel the project, but stops planning for the Newtown Township facility at a 17.5-acre site off Lower Silver Lake Road and University Drive near the Newtown Bypass, which is close to the Middletown Township border.
Board Member Elen Snyder, who is also a Newtown Township Supervisor, introduced the motion, which was supported by Board Chairperson Jerry Schenkman and Board Member Linda Bobrin. Board members Christopher Gusty and Robert Walker voted against it. more…

The 25 February 2025 Meet Mack TUESDAY Zoom meeting was attended by 14 people. Why Tuesday? I am enrolled in a Stand Up Comedy Class hosted by Unscripted Productions. The class meets every Monday night from February 15 through March 17. So for February and probably March my "Meet Mack Monday" Zoom meetings will be held on TUESDAY!

This SPECIAL Meet Mack Monday Zoom meeting focused on a review of a citizen’s group's planned actions to oppose the proposed Newtown Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP). This sewage treatment plant would be located off the Bypass adjacent to the Wawa now being constructed on the corner of the Bypass and Lower Silver Lake Road.
